Step into the imaginary land of Titipu, Japan for a gala evening on stage & on the set of The Mikado the night before the show opens! Savor a sumptuous event-themed Dinner, by the incomparable chefs of Impressions Catering, complete with Drinks and Signature Cocktails created especially for this Anchorage Opera event. Thrill to world-class Entertainment including special guest Metropolitan Opera Star, Jane Shaulis, enjoy a Live Auction of exclusive items…& more, at this all-inclusive eclectic Evening of Delights!
A Gilbert & Sullivan inspired topsy-turvy gala celebration where all things ‘very, very British’ meet a make-believe Orient to benefit Anchorage Opera.

Enjoy an evening of stellar entertainment by our very own “Twilight in Titipu Trio” (Katie Strock, Vocals, Tom Bargelski, Piano and Dave Arrowsmith, Bass) performing jazz favorites by Cole Porter, and special Guest Artist Metropolitan Opera Star, Jane Shaulis, who has agreed to appear to perform some distinctly NON-operatic repertoire for our guests…(you don’t want to miss that!), with Richard Gordon, Accompanist.

Live Auction
Emcee and Auctioneer, Warren Weinstein is your host for a Live Auction of exclusive items! Well known to Anchorage theater audiences, Warren is a member of the Scared Scriptless troupe. Entertaining sold out audiences all over Alaska since 2000; Scared Scriptless Improv performs its madcap one of a kind brand of improvised comedy at the 49th State Brewing Company Anchorage located at 717 W. 3rd Avenue, Downtown Anchorage. With Warren as your Twilight in Titipu host the evening is sure to be full of surprises!
Warren Weinstein, Emcee/Auctioneer
Born and raised in Anchorage, Warren has been active in the local theater community since the early 1990s and a member of Scared Scriptless since 2006. He has trained and performed with instructors from Improv Olympic, Annoyance Theater, and Upright Citizens Brigade. Warren plans on spending his vacations traveling to Chicago and New York to continue his improv education with these same schools.
