FREE Valentine’s Day Show for Vietnam era Vets

February 14, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Anchorage Opera is proud to present the Alaska premiere of Glory Denied by Tom Cipullo. Based on the book of the same title by Tom Philpott, with a foreword by Senator John McCain, the show relates the poignant true story of America’s longest-held P.O.W., the wrenching agonies faced by his family, and the larger story of a nation divided during the Vietnam era. We are honored to produce this beautiful, socially relevant and dynamic multi-media theater show to our community so that we may all gain a greater appreciation of the sacrifices made by those who serve in our armed forces. To thank our Alaska Vets for their service, we’re pleased to announce the addition of a special Valentine’s Day performance for Vietnam era veterans and one guest to attend FREE of charge. Due to the intimate size of the venue (with only 330 seat capacity) we are giving preference first to veterans who served during the Vietnam era, as the show will certainly have an increased significance for them. Other veterans interested in attending the free performance should contact us so that we may put you on a ‘wait list’ for the Valentine’s Day show.
