Anchorage Opera opens its 2025-2026 season pairing Menotti’s psychological thriller, The Medium, with Puccini’s riotous comedy, Gianni Schicchi.
Headlined by Metropolitan Opera stars Alissa Anderson and Ashley Emerson, this unique pairing of Gian Carlo Menotti’s delectable psychological thriller, The Medium, and Giacomo Puccini’s riotously funny Gianni Schicchi, dishes out equal parts tragedy and comedy. Each one act centers around people who use deception as a means to an end; in both cases, surprise endings take your breath away!
