About the Event

Anchorage’s performing arts organizations gathered together on October 3 for a day-long virtual event  during the COVID-19 crisis to celebrate the greater arts community in our great city, ARTWORKS Anchorage!

Why Artworks? Because:

ARTWORKS for community
ARTWORKS for the economy
ARTWORKS for education
ARTWORKS for all

Opera is a Team Sport!

Hear from four members of our Anchorage Opera family about the important roles they play in making the MAGIC happen!
Dawn Lindsay (AO Concert Master)
Kyle Gantz (Singer)
Cedar Cussins (AO Lighting Designer)
Curt Olds (Singer) Bravi tutti!

Comic, Classic & Socially Relevant Operas!

We’re on a mission to deliver a varied menu of offerings each season. Something FUNNY, something PASSIONATE & something that addresses issues SOCIALLY RELEVANT to our community such as discrimination, xenophobia & LGBTQ rights. In celebration of ARTWORKS Anchorage Day we hope you enjoy these excerpts from HMS Pinafore by Gilbert & Sullivan, La Boheme by Puccini & As One Music & Concept by Laura Kaminsky, Libretto by Mark Campbell & Kimberly Reed, Film by Kimberly Reed
